Located in Ouagadougou, we designed the Park project as a contemporary public space dedicated to relaxation, sports, and social interaction. Developed for the association “Mon Espace Vert,” it aims to create a true urban breathing space, accessible to all and structured around multiple uses that encourage community life and collective engagement.

Our architectural and landscape concept is based on a clear reading of the site, where vegetation and circulation paths structure the entire project. We conceived the park as a sequence of atmospheres alternating between shaded areas, open spaces, and denser planted zones, offering a fluid and intuitive experience for users throughout the site.

The project also integrates a multi-sport court, designed as a central hub of activity and interaction. This facility reinforces the park’s social and intergenerational role, supporting sports such as football and basketball within a structured, safe, and accessible environment.

The main challenge was to design a comfortable public space in a hot climate, using shade, natural ventilation, and vegetation as primary design tools. Ground treatment, planting strategy, and spatial organization work together to create microclimates adapted to daily use and comfort.

The design language is simple and functional, focused on clarity of layout and quality of circulation. The Park becomes an urban landscape infrastructure that combines sport, leisure, and social life, actively contributing to improving the quality of life in Ouagadougou.
