Located in the Vridi industrial zone in Abidjan, we designed the KAMA Administrative Building as part of an LPG bottling plant, a strategic facility dedicated to the storage, filling, and distribution of gas. The project is embedded within a highly sensitive technical environment where safety, operational efficiency, and control requirements are paramount.
Our architectural approach is driven by clarity and rationality, with the building conceived as the administrative and operational control hub of the entire industrial site. It ensures management, coordination, and supervision of LPG facility operations while maintaining a strict separation between administrative and technical flows.
The main challenge of the project was to integrate a representative office building within a highly constrained industrial context. Safety regulations, required setbacks, and circulation constraints strongly shaped the layout and overall organization. We therefore developed a simple, legible, and efficient composition fully aligned with the functional logic of the site.
The architectural expression is sober and institutional, characterized by controlled volumes, durable materials, and large yet carefully calibrated openings that bring natural light and comfort to the workspaces while preserving a sense of robustness and stability. The shape of the façade openings has been specifically designed to evoke the flame of gas, directly referencing the LPG activity and giving the building a strong symbolic identity.
Currently under construction, the project is gradually taking shape on site, precisely translating our architectural intentions and the technical requirements of this highly specific industrial environment.
The KAMA LPG Administrative Building in Vridi expresses our vision of industrial architecture, where functionality, safety, and spatial quality converge to create a clear and structuring landmark within a complex technical site.
