Located in Ouagadougou, these semi-detached villas were designed as a contemporary response to residential densification, while preserving quality of life, privacy, and user comfort. The project is rooted in a broader reflection on urban housing in an African context, where compact building forms must be balanced with a strong attention to outdoor spaces and family living patterns.

Our architectural concept is based on a clear composition of two twin units, treated with balance and symmetry, while ensuring full functional and spatial independence for each dwelling. The volumes are intentionally simple and legible, establishing a strong and coherent architectural identity.

From the entrance, the project opens onto a double-height space, a key architectural gesture that immediately creates a sense of volume, light, and spatial generosity. This central void structures the interior layout and enhances the spatial experience from the very first step inside the villa.

We placed particular emphasis on managing privacy and overlooking, which are essential within the cultural and climatic context of Ouagadougou. The placement of the buildings, the treatment of openings, and the use of architectural filters were carefully designed to protect interior spaces while maximizing natural light and ventilation.

The façade language is restrained and contemporary, combining mineral materials, light-toned finishes, and large openings protected by overhangs and shading devices. This approach achieves a balance between modern architectural expression and climatic performance, reducing solar gain while enhancing indoor comfort.

A key feature of the project is the glass bridge above the swimming pool, which connects the different spaces and reinforces architectural continuity while introducing a strong contemporary and iconic gesture. This element brings lightness, transparency, and a distinctive modern identity to the composition.

Currently under construction, the project is gradually taking shape on site, faithfully translating the original architectural intent and confirming the coherence between concept, detail, and execution.

Outdoor spaces play a central role in the project, extending the living areas naturally into private gardens that enhance usability and residential quality. Through this project, we propose a contemporary reading of semi-detached villas, where rationality, privacy, and climatic adaptation come together in a coherent and refined architectural statement.
